The Renegade Plurk Project: Calling Home - A Plurk Novel

by User ImageBrilliantJeni (Who am I?) on August 19, 2008

Writer and avid plurker, R. Alexander Spoerer (Plurk AKA Renegade) has come up with a unique use for his social media time- he’s using it to write a novel! 140 words at a time, Spoerer has created different plurk accounts for each character, with a dialogue that will run for several months ultimately completing the novel.

To follow the story, plurkers add three characters to their Friend List, following the conversations plurk by 140 word plurk.

Spoerer is planning to run the story for at least a few months but readers can catch up on the storyline so far by clicking here: http://callinghome.tumblr.com

In the words of Normal Joe… “Indeed.”

You know, I thought it would be hard to follow given the short dialogue bites, and the fact that I have hundreds of plurks going at any one time. To my surprise, I find myself waiting for the next lines! “Ok, where’s my Calling Home for the day…”

I swear, I don’t watch soap operas, but between Calling Home and Pisqua’s ManQuest blog (http://prisqua.com) I’m definitely getting my drama fix.
